COMMISSIONS
I take on a limited number of commissions each year. Each one starts with a story. person, or place and becomes an original painting made to stand on its own.
01 / THE WORK
A commission should still be a painting.
My goal is not to reproduce a photograph, but to create an original work shaped by the subject, the story behind it, the atmosphere, and the language I've developed through years of work.
02 / THE CONVERSATION
It begins with what matters.
STORY
We explore the person, memory. or idea at the heart of the work.
SETTING
We consider the landscape, setting. or references that shape the world.
SCALE
We discuss size, setting, and how the painting will live in its environment
03 / THE PROCESS
CONVERSATION
I would love to hear about your vision and understand what matters to you and your story.
DIRECTION
I develop concepts rooted in your story and add my visual language.
PAINTING
The work is built in layers with intention and highest quality materials.
INSTALLATION
Either myself or my framer will be happy to arrange installation of your custom work.
